Man lived at Airport for Three Years
LONDON (UPI) -- An out-of-work chef who lived in London's Gatwick Airport for three years has been jailed after disobeying an order barring him from the facility. Judge Richard Hayward ordered Anthony Delaney to be remanded into custody until his March 10 hearing after he was caught violating an anti-social behavior order for the third time, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday. Delaney was previously sentenced to 95 days imprisonment for his second violation of the order, which occurred the same day he was released from jail for his first violation. Hayward said he decided to keep Delaney in custody because he feared the urge to return to the airport would be too strong for the man to resist. "It is a bit cheeky to go straight back to Gatwick. There are other places you can have a shower. This is just going on and on. It is all very strange," the judge said.
