Couple Married on Amtrak Train
PONTIAC, Mich. (UPI) -- A Michigan woman who has loved trains since she was a child has had one of the most important moments of her life, her wedding, take place inside one. Lynn Kuczajda, 48, of Pontiac married Robert Steil of Milwaukee on an Amtrak train traveling from Pontiac to Dearborn, Mich., Pontiac's Oakland Press reported. "Ever since I was young, I used to watch the old movies where people would eat in the old dining cars of trains and just thought it was so romantic," said Kuczajda before the wedding, which was presided over by Rochester Mayor Stuart Bikson. "When I was little, we used to take the train to Toronto, and I just loved it. I have so many fond memories of it." The couple, living in Lake Orion, had 40 friends and family members on board to witness the wedding, with 1940s swing and big band music playing in the background. Kuczajda said she and Steil began planning the train wedding in December with a lot of help from her three sisters. Copyright 2008 by United Press International
